Tara Scarrow

Director of Production

In her role as Director of Production, Tara leads the production team, manages the production pipeline and ensures that our clients receive the best service and quality. She also manages all functions for human resources and project contracts as well as aiding in marketing and public relations efforts locally and nationally. Prior to Heartwood, Tara worked at a local staffing firm and a corporate financial services company.

Tara moved to California from Kansas after graduating from Fort Hays State University with a BS in Biology and a minor in Communication. She enjoys the beautiful California weather and reading a good book.

Brad Avery

Project Manager

Brad comes to Heartwood Studios with over 14 years of professional experience in the applied arts. In the roles of Manager, and Artist, he has enjoyed a very diverse career spanning TV, Film, Internet, Software Development, Corporate Communications, and Live Performance. His diversity has given him the ability to not only effectively manage projects, but also to creatively solve technical and artistic problems.

Brad received his BS in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware and has been involved in ongoing independent study of visual effects study since graduation.

When not working at Heartwood, Brad enjoys photography, keeping current on his 3D skills, hiking, cooking, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

David Burnett

Project Manager

As Project Manager, David is a dedicated problem solver who brings the diverse elements of a production together into a single creative vision for the client. He brings 10 years of professional experience to the practice of computer-aided design technology. David’s experience and personal commitment has lead to huge success in each of his projects.

David is a graduate of the Architecture program of Harvard University Design School. He enjoys hiking, swimming and kayaking in the glory of the Northern California outdoors.
